We are particularly interested in receiving submissions from artists
Artist portfolio submissions are welcomed!
The Museum X of Contemporary Art is located in Pomona Southern California We represent international and national artists. E exhibiting modern oil paintings, watercolors, sculpture, and multimedia works. While fine art photography is appreciated.
We only represent original art-work that uses archival materials assembled with a process that insures that they will endure for generations. For example we will not accept oil paintings on canvas that have not been properly primed.
In addition we do not represent the following:Giclees (i.e. digital prints), Chalk Pastels, or any art that uses non-archival materials.
Museum X is committed to building personal relationships with it's collectors and with it's artists that serve as bonds that holds us together and grows with time. In that spirit, we work directly with artists and not through artist representives.
Please submit images of work by email as .jpg (for images) and Word documents (for artist statement and biography). We use PC compatible computers so if you are sending from a MacIntosh, please make sure you save it, and send it to us, in a PC compatible format (*.jpg, and *.doc). We strongly discourage artists from dropping by un- announced with samples of their work because it can prevent us from giving our undivided attention to our collectors.
If you do submit a paper copy, of your information, via regular mail then include a self-addressed-stamped-envelope (SASE). If you do not include an SASE we will assume you do not expect your material returned to you.
Portfolio Submission
Step 1 • Compile a portfolio including the following items:

- Slides or photographs of recent works (at least 10)
- Resume and background information
- Retail Price List
- Copies of magazine articles or other media attention about you or your work
- A list of galleries that represent or have represented you
- Your web site address, if you have one.
- A self addressed stamped envelope with correct postage if you would like your materials returned

Step 2 • Mail the portfolio to the following address

| Step 3 • Allow plenty of time to review your work |
| The Museum X of Contemporary Art Selection Committee usually only meets once a month, so it may take several weeks to receive a response. Please be patient. If it takes the committee longer to respond, it does not reflect negatively on your work. There are times during the year a timely response simply is not possible. However, you will be notified in writing of the decision. |
